A few questions to Luca Vavasori on what it means to be the Events Officer of the Board.
What do you work on as the Events Officer? What skills are required in these works?
As the Events Officer, I arrange and coordinate the organisation of our global Alumni events and I support the Local Representatives in the planning, execution and approval of Local Communities events. When it comes to Local Representatives, I am also in charge of making sure that the communities have a designated Local Representative and is up to me to decide who among the potential candidates will cover the role.
What have you achieved in your mandate 2021-2023 as the Events Officer?
I managed to successfully organise 3 Annual Meetings, a hybrid AlumniHack, and supported the organisation of several local meetings to re-engage the community. I have also recruited 5 new Local Representatives and launched a new Swiss local community.
What could you have done better or differently during your mandate?
I could have managed better my time so that I could have supported the local representatives continuously rather than periodically.
