Shruti Kuber: Just Start – A founder story

“You don’t need to have it all figured out. You just need to start. Let your curiosity lead. The rest will follow.”

Shruti Kuber is an early-stage founder originally from India and now based in Berlin. Trained in Embedded Systems, she didn’t plan to become a fintech founder. Arriving in Berlin on a student visa, she faced a new language, unfamiliar systems, and no network.

So she started with what she had: building, joining communities, asking questions, and learning by doing.

“I followed discomfort and said yes to things I didn’t yet know how to do.”

Building by learning

Through trial, error, and many pivots, Shruti discovered what mattered most to her: helping other founders avoid early financial mistakes. That insight became CapitalSnapshot, an AI-powered financial co-pilot that helps early-stage startups make better funding decisions by turning messy bank data into investor-ready insights, forecasts, and scenario models.

Alongside her startup, Shruti founded PitchBazaar, a founder-led community connecting Indian and European startup ecosystems and supporting entrepreneurs who don’t come with a network.

The role of EIT Digital

EIT Digital (now 28DIGITAL) gave Shruti more than mobility: it gave her perspective. She started with the master school and then, through programs such as Women2Invest, hackathons, and ecosystem events, she experienced startup ecosystems across Europe and gained rare access to the VC world.

“It didn’t just shape my career, it made me feel like I belonged in the room.”

She also helped shape Women at EIT, an initiative promoting women’s leadership and empowerment in innovation, business, entrepreneurship, and technology, reinforcing her commitment to building more inclusive startup ecosystems.

Why her story matters

Shruti’s journey reflects the uncertainty and pivots many founders experience, but rarely talk about.
