Dear fellow EIT Digital Alumni members,
I believe we can all agree that the powerful sense of community shapes the EIT Digital experience. And what I personally love about the EIT Digital Alumni foundation, is that it allows these connections to expand beyond the educational programs. Whether that is reconnecting with old friends, or finding new familiar faces in town. I graduated from the master school in 2023 myself and am currently based in The Netherlands to work for a global NGO. Having been actively involved in the alumni association by regularly attending local events and mentoring in the 2024 Kick Off in Riga, I am now motivated to take on a more formal role as Secretary. My natural approachability, proven organizational skills, proactive mindset, and valuable experience on boards and committees align perfectly with the responsibilities of Secretary, and I am eager to make this beautiful foundation flourish in the upcoming years!

The EIT Digital Alumni network is built on you, members of this association. My vision for EIT Digital Alumni in the upcoming years (and beyond!) is to cultivate a truly professional and inclusive organisation where each and every member, regardless of their geographical location, feels a strong sense of community and has their voice heard. Whether that's by connecting on a professional level, or to simply have a new familiar face in town. To achieve this, my plans include:
- Elevating global engagement through local events. Leverage and expand the local rep network to more locations. Empowering our network by expanding succesful models like the Data & Pizza series in Amsterdam and Paris with interesting speakers and an informal feel. Connect local reps in different locations to learn from each other.
- Actively soliciting your input. The EIT Digital Alumni community is built for its members by its members. I know we're all innovators at heart, so got an idea for a new event, or perhaps an interesting speaker? Let's work together to bring this to live!
- Allow members to get involved via committees and working groups. Want to get more involved in the community? Committees and working groups can serve as an accessible way to take on a formal role within the association, network, and gain exposure and experience.
- Exploring synergies within the broader EIT Ecosystems. Let's use what we got! I believe the EIT Digital Alumni association can benefit tremendously from collaborating with other EIT Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KICs) to access new resources and create more diverse opportunities for our members.
You can count on me to be a reliable and organised Secretary, ensuring efficient operations thanks to my previous board and committee experience. I am a strong advocate for your voice and strive to be approachable for anyone in and beyond the association. I am committed to support my fellow board members in their daily tasks and together ensure a truly engaged and member-driven EIT Digital Alumni experience for everyone involved!

Since graduating from the EIT Digital Master school in the Data Science track (UPM & KTH), my connection to the EIT Digital ecosystem remains strong. I've been attending the graduation ceremonies yearly to support the younger cohorts and reconnect with alumni. Also, I volunteered as a mentor at the kick-off event in Riga last year, supporting upcoming students and representing EIT Digital Alumni. Currently, I am based in The Netherlands (Utrecht/Amsterdam) and actively participate in local events.
Hope to see you soon at one of the upcoming gatherings!
