Position
Outreach & Partnerships Officer
Motivation for applying to this position

I am very excited to apply for Outreach & Partnerships Officer position as it revolves around two primary concepts: contribution and communication, both of which are dear to me.

As for contribution, I am extremely grateful to EIT Digital Alumni for creating the foundations for what, to me, the Alumni is all about: meeting new people at events, having random technical brainstorm sessions, or just chilling out at social gatherings. These encounters were always one of the highlights of the year for me, and they always made me feel motivated to give back and support the community in the best way I can.

Which brings us to the second concept: communication. In recent years, having been exposed to several great interactions and opportunities (within and outside of EIT Digital), I have realized that communication is something that simultaneously arouses my interest and something I truly enjoy. I love to inspect and get involved in a good debate, read between the lines, reach common ground with people, or read a good book about communication psychology to name a few. When done strategically, that is even more intriguing to me.

I believe this position is a good mix of these two, which makes it particularly exciting.

Vision and plans for the community

I share a vision in which the EIT Digital Alumni is more than graduates of a prominent international master's programme, and I would like to contribute towards this vision by focusing on the following areas:

  • Strengthen collaboration and communication with other KICs on a regional and global level (e.g., Health, Food, etc., and the umbrella EIT Community organization itself) - I believe there is so much unrealized potential here (e.g., master's program cooperation, knowledge sharing, co-organized events, etc.).
  • Support upskilling by negotiating deals with digital education program providers and services
  • Advocate EIT Digital Alumni and its resources at recruitment agencies, EIT Digital-funded startups, and other talent acquisition organizations as proficient job candidates.
  • Foster knowledge sharing within local communities regarding relevant events and places (e.g., startup meetups, tech talks, upskilling workshops, coworking places, etc.)
  • Create funnels if possible between owners of such and the local EIT Digital Alumni (volunteering, discounts, etc.)
Why people should vote for me

You should vote for me because:

  1. I love problems, the more complex, the more fascinating (as long as they are easier than solving a Rubik's cube, I can't do that)
  2. I love coming up with a plan on how to solve them even more (here the Data Scientist background and the analytical mindset help)
  3. I love to engage with new stakeholders and identify win-win situations (you always have to give something first if you are expecting something in return)
  4. I love chess

With love comes skills as well, as I have experience from the past few years of:

  • Negotiate and lobby in highly senior environments (e.g., industry consortium meetings)
  • Present in front of crowds, media
  • Engage in sales activities, scouting markets/competitors.
  • Bringing different stakeholder groups together along a common goal (e.g, departments, organizations, etc.)
Tell us more about your past experience and involvement with the EIT Digital Alumni

I joined the EIT Master's School in 2019 and finished my studies in 2021. The master school years gave me a strong foundational interest in connecting                                with others due to the exceptionally great experiences, and I have been doing so ever since then, such as:

  • connecting with others by attending annual meetings (e.g., Stockholm, Athens, Malaga, and now Coliving), visiting CLCs, etc.
  • organizing an event (Graduation afterparty in 2024, Budapest),
  • representing EIT Digital at local workshops and events organized by EIT Community
  • supporting the local community within
