Konrad Kleeberger

Position
Secretary
Motivation for applying to this position

Over the past two years as Tech Officer, I’ve gained valuable insight into how the board operates. This time, I’d like to take on a different role—one where I believe I can have an even greater impact in driving our community forward.

Vision and plans for the community

Over the next two years, I hope we can further professionalize the board. This means shifting its focus from day-to-day operations to a more strategic, governing role. To make that possible, we need to involve more people—both volunteers and professionals. If anyone’s looking for an internship opportunity within the association, let me know!

I want to guide the next board away from being stuck in the constant cycle of planning the next event. Instead, we should evolve into a higher-level institution that oversees operations and focuses on long-term planning. That involves building structures that can withstand board transitions and forming lasting partnerships.

For local communities, I want to focus on supporting our existing strongholds and those with clear potential. From there, we can think about how to expand. Ideally, more than one person should be involved in organizing local events to spread the workload. Long-term planning is key to ensuring these events happen reliably. We don’t need weekly gatherings—just enough to keep our network connected and engaged.

I also want the board to experiment more and define clear KPIs to evaluate success. Maybe we could aim for one experiment every two months? There are plenty of great ideas in the community; we just need to identify the people ready to contribute and give them the opportunity to do so. This community is full of unique and passionate individuals—if you have an idea or want to get involved, reach out!

As secretary, I plan to spotlight the community’s achievements and make sure they get the recognition they deserve.

Why people should vote for me

Over the past two years, I’ve been actively involved and have gained a deep understanding of how everything is organized. I’ve built a reputation for being hands-on and getting things done. We've already introduced new features to our website, such as payment support and local event listings—but there's still so much untapped potential waiting to be explored.
