Dear EIT Digital Alumni Board and Alumni,
Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Federico Casano and I am an EIT Alumnus graduated in Cybersecurity.
While reading the latest newsletter I started wondering what I am doing for the EIT community and what I could do to enrich my experience.
I shortly realized that I had a wonderful journey as part of my graduation with EIT but, after the graduation, it ended. Remarkably a pity.
I want to come back stronger and apply to this position as member of the EIT Digital Alumni Board. Not only I desire to be more involved again in the EIT world, but I wish to be part of it as an active member.
Specifically I believe my stakeholder management and leadership skills can fit the role as Outreach and Partnerships Officer.
I wouldn't apply if not believing that I can leave a positive mark.
Looking from the outside I can witness a vibrant board and community. Many alumni are involved and participate to the proposed events or are active in chats.
Areas of improvement where I wish to spend my energy would be to:
- increase visibility of EIT in the industries
- Increase participation of EIT Alumni, who like me before, did not actively participated to this marvelous community of great people
- potentially organize targeted webinars, workshops and hackathons in the European Union and abroad - increasing the current footprint and boosting the innovation within the community
I feel attaching the CV to this application wouldn't be the right way to proceed :)
You can of course find my profile on LinkedIn. However, I will try to convey here a personal message expanding on my interests and motivations.
I believe in community driven changes. EIT Alumni bring together beautiful minds capable of reshaping the world for good. Any Alumnus I have met carries a different story of excellence, passions, ambitions and skills that are outstanding.
I want to be part of this great opportunity we have - at this young age of ours - to leave a positive mark, and perhaps make things better bit by bit :) , while growing and helping each other.
If you vote for me, I can vow for my devotion to the cause of an EIT Digital community: innovative, global and present
Except my graduation and occasional events with the "local chapters", I did not have the pleasure to participate to other events or be more involved. This is something I wish to change!
