Hi everyone! 👋🏻
I'm truly excited to apply for the Technology Officer position on the EIT Alumni Board. Since joining the EIT Digital Master School, this community has had a huge impact on me—not just academically, but also personally. It gave me the chance to live and grow in Finland, meet incredible people from across Europe, and be part of something bigger than myself. Now, I feel it’s time to give back and contribute to the community that has given me so much.
As Technology Officer, I’d love to support the alumni foundation by maintaining and improving our software systems. I'm also happy to lend a hand in other areas, like helping organize events—both local and Europe-wide.
Professionally, I come from a background in software and data engineering. I’ve worked as a full-stack developer, which has given me both the technical expertise and organizational experience that I’d bring to this role.
My main plan is to switch the website language to Italian and finally make it the official language of EIT 🤌🤌 — just kidding! 😄
Jokes aside, I believe the current state of the website and technical systems is already quite impressive—thanks to the amazing work of previous boards. That said, I do have a few ideas on how we can continue building on that foundation:
Support for local communities: I want to ensure that local communities have the technical tools they need to thrive. Whether it's software to help organize events or guidance on setting up lightweight processes, I'm here to support and empower them.
Open-sourcing parts of our systems: By open-sourcing selected components of our platform, we can encourage alumni to actively contribute and innovate. Collaboration is at the heart of our community, and this would be a great way to reflect that in our technology.
Transparency and visibility: I'd love to publish a public roadmap for our tools—so the community knows what’s in the pipeline and can help shape it. Making software development more transparent will help spark interest and contributions from alumni with tech backgrounds (or just great ideas!).
Rather than using this space to ask for your vote, I’d like to encourage everyone to stay engaged with the community! Personally, EIT events have been incredibly enriching—both professionally and personally. Many of the people I met during my studies have become lifelong friends.
That’s why I believe it’s so important to keep this community alive and thriving—a space rooted in inclusion, collaboration, support, and fun. This is especially meaningful for those of us who have moved abroad and are looking for connection.
If elected, I’ll do my best over the next two years to contribute to this vision and help make the EIT Alumni community even stronger.
I've been an active member of the EIT Alumni community in Finland, where I made it a point to attend all the local events. While I haven’t been directly involved in organizing activities, I’ve always been a committed participant—and through these gatherings, I’ve built lasting friendships with amazing people in the community.
One of the highlights of my involvement was attending the EIT Alumni Coliving in Sardinia. It was truly an unforgettable experience that I’d recommend to anyone—it really showed the strength and warmth of our network beyond just academic or professional connections.
